What was your first electronic music event?

Zedd at Lollapalooza 2014

What/who influenced you to attend your first event?

I had started listening to EDM through scrolling through related videos on YouTube and listening to UKF mixes. After a while, I started searching online for music events and came across Lollapalooza!

What is one moment from an event that was special and why?

I went to Lost Lands with a bunch of random people, literally did not know a single person past a first-name basis. My favorite moment has to be during Zeds Dead’s set where we all were hit right in our feels and started crying and saying how much we loved each other. Since then, those people have been my best friends!

What is your favorite festival or event?

Hands down, Lost Lands. No questions asked.

What is your favorite electronic song and why?

Liquid Stranger’s “Sofa Surfin'” remix. I love Liquid and it’s just our group’s song. We go crazy whenever it plays! I’m actually getting a tattoo of the lyrics soon. It’s one of those songs that I can never get tired of and it just reminds me of how great my friends are, and how alike we are.

Who are your favorite artists?

Excision and FuntCase are my top two favorites. Following them, I love Zeds Dead, Snails, Illenium, Flume, ODESZA, Ganja White Night, Space Jesus, Liquid Stranger, Boogie T, and CloZee.

What are your favorite genres?

Dubstep and riddim are my absolute favorites, but I love anything with bass.

What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?

I’m not sure if this is an identity, but I’m definitely known in my rave group as going the hardest. So I guess “raging headbanger” would be my identity!

Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?

I’m a junior at Indiana University studying Public Relations and minoring in International Studies and Arts Management. In my free time, I like to read, watch YouTube, play competitive volleyball, and inhale grilled cheese sandwiches.
