#TBT || Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone

When you talk about tracks that are electronic music anthems, “Better Off Alone” is always in the discussion.

So let’s turn the clock back to the year 1998 for a moment. The world was changing, the Y2K scare was beginning to cause a stir, and electronic music was reaching a new level of popularity that it hadn’t quite seen before. Dutch producers DJ Jurgen and Pronti & Kalmani combined forces to create the instrumental portion of the tune. Later, the vocals were added by Judith Pronk, giving life to a song that still finds its way into sets around the world today. For those of you wondering, the track I’m talking about is Alice Deejay‘s hit tune, “Better Off Alone”. This massive Eurodance anthem is fueled by its roots in trance and saw massive success on charts and in clubs around the globe. While many see this track as the commercialization of the trance genre, you can’t help but fall in love with the infectious beat and get hit with a wave of nostalgia when you hear it. Watch the music video for this classic tune below and relive a different era of dance music today!

Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone – Lyrics

Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone

Talk to me, hum
Talk to me
Talk to me, hum
Talk to me

Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone

Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone
Do you think you’re better off alone
