5. Vindicta – k?d
k?d – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter
k?d is a mysterious entity. No one knows much about him, however, everyone has heard his songs at least once by now. Placed on various “People to Watch in 2017” lists, this producer is showing no signs of slowing down. His style resembles Porter Robinson in a slight sense, but there’s something a bit more complex to it. k?d’s newest song, ‘Vindicta,’ is dark and ominous and takes a step away from his recent songs.
4. Akira – Ekali & KRANE
Ekali – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter || KRANE – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter
Being an Ekali and KRANE fan, I was so hyped when I first heard this was coming out. I’ve seen live rips of the song countless times, but the studio quality version is something else. It’s a great blend of both producer’s styles. Filled with big horns, huge trap drums, and all sorts of other unique noises this is a great way for both artists to start off the year.
3. Switch – Don Diablo
Don Diablo – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter
I remember stumbling across Don Diablo around May of 2016 and I was instantly hooked on his style. His feel-good, bass-heavy house music is so catchy! He’s one of the artists I’d love to watch perform one day. His newest track, ‘Switch,’ is exactly that – infectious, filled with lots of bass and just makes you want to dance!

2. Kung Fu – PhaseOne & Virtual Riot
PhaseOne – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter || Virtual Riot – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter
Dubstep has always been a prominent part of dance music. It will never be the most popular type due to how crazy and non-melodic it is, but it has it’s niche fan base. Diving a level deeper into the dubstep genre is “riddim.” Riddim is a distinct sound of dubstep songs that literally make you want to headbang until you can’t feel your neck anymore. It’s metallic and it’s loud, and I absolutely love it. PhaseOne is an artist i’m not too familiar with, but once I saw he linked up with Virtual Riot, I knew I had to listen. ‘Kung Fu’ is all that and more in a riddim song!

1. I Just Wanna – Big Wild
Big Wild – Facebook | SoundCloud | Instagram | Twitter
This song is my overall top pick of this week. I recently got into Big Wild and I can really see why people love his music so much. It’s fun, playful and is the definition of ‘feel good vibes.’ His newest track, ‘I Just Wanna’ is done immaculately. The production is top-notch and you can really get a good feel for what Big Wild represents in a singular song.
