WHIPPED CREAM debuted her Careline project at ADE this month and dropped off the first single under the alter ego, “Intro Call.”
Canadian DJ and producer WHIPPED CREAM has carved out her niche in the electronic music scene over the years. From powerful bass releases twinged with hip-hop elements to performing captivating sets at some of the world’s top festivals, she’s only continued to prove her prowess. Now, she’s set to embark on her latest adventure with the debut of her new alter-ego, Careline.
A first glimpse of what WHIPPED CREAM had in store for the Careline project arrived at ADE last week when she took over the decks at the Monstercat showcase. There, she put the sounds that define the project, a blend of groovy industrial elements with cinematic drums, on display by playing out its first release, “Intro Call.” Out now via Boom Records, this techno tune offers a moody atmosphere accentuated by voicemail greeting-styled vocals, shuffling hi-hats, and a bassline that thuds forward into the depths of its decadent soundscape.
This is just the beginning of the Careline project, as WHIPPED CREAM has a second single, “God Is A Gentleman,” due out on November 8, and a full EP that will arrive in 2025.
