in New Releases

Gud Vibrations boss NGHTMRE teams up with artists like Liquid Stranger, Rezz, Juelz, Ace Aura, and more for tracks found on UNSOUND 2.

Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and label boss NGHTMRE has excelled at drawing crowds and pushing sonic boundaries ever since he first stepped foot on the scene in 2014. From dropping pure heat as a solo artist to working with SLANDER on Gud Vibrations, his tunes and performances have left fans enamored. This year has seen him continue on that path as he celebrates a decade of his career, and now, as he rides high after his latest set at EDC Las Vegas’ bassPOD, he’s dropped even more fire for the summer season ahead.

In 2022, NGHTMRE launched the UNSOUND project to showcase his collaborative spirit, and he just delivered the second release in the collection. This time around, the collection of tunes brings in some major collaborators like Rezz, Liquid Stranger, Ace Aura, and more, all of which highlight the diverse range of styles that he’s come to love over the years.

The UNSOUND projects are all about collaboration! I reached out to some of my favorite producers from all over the world for this EP. I really tried not to think too much about a specific genre or boundary for this and just focused on writing what felt cool and inspiring. All the sets have been going over extremely well in my live sets and I’m so excited to finally drop them all!

NGHTMRE

Found in the tracklist for UNSOUND 2 are some heaters that NGHTMRE has dropped in recent years, kicking off with “All Night,” which saw Rezz and DeathbyRomy work with the bass maestro. Other singles that were revealed prior to the full release include “In Your Eyes” with two rising phenoms, Jon Casey and Pauline Herr, “Thrilla” with Juelz and ShaSimone, and “Restless” with Liquid Stranger and Mougleta.

“Torture,” the last single that dropped yesterday, adds Franky Nuts and sees the return of DeathbyRomy for a second round. This is an energetic ride that is a perfect addition to any pump-up playlist to get you hyped for a festival ahead. To close out the release is “Brand New Love,” which adds Ace Aura and Marlhy into the mix for a vibrant tune that features a powerful drop you can’t help but get a second dose of.

Listen to UNSOUND 2 on Spotify or your preferred platform, and keep an eye out for more exciting announcements from NGHTMRE as he continues his ten-year celebration.
