Rising star Nostalgix takes the bass house world by storm with her new EP, Star City, out now on Monstercat.

It’s almost like she popped straight out of an early 2000s magazine. Bass house starlet Nostalgix is bringing the Y2K vibe in her tracks, making a statement that represents liberation and unlocking your inner baddie.

Her self-empowered vibe and heavy-hitting music create a special element in her sets that is well received by her fast-growing fan base. Dominating festival sets such as her appearance on the mainstage of EDC Las Vegas as well as Hard Summer and Beyond Wonderland, Nostalgix is claiming her space — all while releasing bangers like “Supah Fly.” Amidst her whirlwind year to her place as a prominent producer, Nostalgix is diving deep into her flair and writing her future in the stars via her latest EP, Star City, out now on Monstercat.

The girls who need a festival season anthem are summoned once the EP starts, especially by the newly mixed “WAR” featuring legendary rapper Rico Nasty and even some bars from Nostalgix herself. The track is energetic, sensual, and empowering for anyone who needs a reminder of protect themselves against negative energy.

Featuring grime rapper and MC Scrufizzer, “Lockdown” keeps that same energy with clever lyricism and pumping basslines purpose-built for a hype festival set. The more cinematic style of “Need You” takes its time to build into a sassy breakdown and bold horns.

Highlighting the artist’s own lyrical talent, “DEMONS” featuring Southside Diddy raises the bar in both tempo and energy, blending multiple vocal styles and a hell-bending bassline. The final track features feminine icon DEV. “Real Girls” is a must-listen that everyone should experience live, diving in with a more seductive intro that builds up to the ultimate girl anthem.

We predict Nostalgix’s rise to stardom to catapult her into the universe in 2024. Star City already establishes her as a unique artist in the scene as she embodies future nostalgia in both her aura and her music. Nostalgix will be playing out her new EP on an upcoming tour across North America, including cities like San Francisco, Nashville, Atlanta, and her hometown of Vancouver. Tickets can be bought via her website.

I’ve always had to push through boundaries, and break other people’s limitations on me. I’ve always fought for self-expression and put myself out there to be my most authentic self no matter how terrifying it can be. Regardless of what others have said or thought about me, I have always believed in my vision and fought to make it a reality. I created ‘Star City’ to empower others to do the same.”
