Washington DC-based artist Tydrous marks the release of his latest progressive house EP with a mix perfect for the fall months.
As the sounds of melodic-driven styles continue to dominate much of the scene’s landscape, rising artists like Tydrous have flexed their creative might to leave listeners impressed. First landing on our radar with some sensational trance releases on Elliptical Sun and Graydient Collective while also stunning in the progressive house side of the spectrum on Immersed, this Washington DC-based producer has shown signs of greatness in crafting beautiful soundscapes.
This past summer, Tydrous took a trip into the lo-fi realm with the release of his Passerby EP, but to close out the year, he’s looked to the reaches of progressive house for another offering of tunes, Auburn Ocean. His latest body of work features four fresh soundscapes for listeners to bask in, inspired by the fall months. From “All These Sorrows” to “Joy of its Own,” this EP is best absorbed from start to finish in its mixed form, but each track stands tall with gorgeous elements layered throughout.
To properly celebrate the release of his latest EP, Tydrous swung by to spin up a mix that’s brimming with quality tunes. Found inside the hour-long mix are a handful of his tracks off Auburn Ocean, along with a number of curated gems from the minds of Ben Böhmer, ALPHA 9, Vintage & Morelli, Heard Right and OAI, P.O.S and Spencer Brown, and more.
