Over two decades years ago, Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki of Above & Beyond, and vocalist Justine Suissa started creating music under the alias OceanLab. Fifteen years ago, they created magic on their Sirens of The Sea LP and have since created a legacy with hits featuring classic trance sounds and Suissa’s mesmerizing vocals.
OceanLab has become a beloved act among Anjunabeats and non-Anjuna fans alike, and to celebrate, they unveiled OceanLab: The Anthology, a limited edition vinyl box set available for pre-order now. The exclusive box set will feature the seminal Sirens of The Sea double album alongside never-before-heard acoustic reimaginings and remixes of favorites from the likes of Marsh, Seven Lions, Genix, Gareth Emery, Michael Cassette, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Above & Beyond themselves.
No detail is spared as the box set will be housed in a premium fabric-wrapped double slipcase with foil detailing. Inside, you’ll find four 12” single discs, a 10” single disc, and a special repress of the original Sirens of the Sea, all on beautiful crystal clear vinyl. Also included are an exclusive poster, slipmat, and commemorative book containing notes from the group, never-before-seen photos, and exclusive sheet music arrangements with piano, guitar, and voice parts.
To accompany the box set, digital versions of the new and catalog tracks will also be released. The first of which comes out today, which sees Above & Beyond add a progressive spin on the much loved “Satellite.” Subsequent releases will come intermittently through January. Then, on March 1, Anjunabeats will release an Anthology digital compilation with an extensive collection of OceanLab original recordings and remixes. More on that soon!
