MYTHM and ColtCuts cause a stir within the scene with their latest EP filled with sinister sounds, Malice – out now on Deep, Dark & Dangerous!

2023 was a year full of MYTHM‘s delectable sinister sounds taking over the airwaves. This rising talent is known to keep his listeners busy with plenty of experimental dubstep to indulge in over the years. Another up-and-coming artist who shares a passion for dubstep and halftime and you should give your attention to is ColtCuts. Both artists have had a successful last few years, with MYTHM putting out heaters with labels such as Deadbeats, Artikal Music UK, and Wormhole. At the same time, ColtCuts slung out many memorable dubs with Duploc, Hatched, and Dank n’ Dirty Dubz.

Mix the unwavering skill sets of MYTHM and ColtCuts together, and it’s sure to be a treat for everyone. That’s just what happened when they grabbed the attention of tastemakers Deep, Dark & Dangerous, who gladly gave their collaborative EP, Malice, a forever home.

The title track arrives first and perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the EP. It’s clear that these two aren’t here to play as they slew choppy and futuristic beats into a melting pot of arrangements. Then, it’s time to get ready for battle because “Raid” is locked and loaded with plenty of sound grenades. Inch further into uncertainty with each surge of sounds that pop up throughout.

Listeners can ease into eerie territory with “Revenant” as the rattles of snake tails lead them into the realm of MYTHM and ColtCuts’ take on a nightmare. You’ll find yourself running from death itself as each drop unveils a new fear. Finally, the closing track, “Deep End,” will leave you helpless. Disorienting soundscapes fill the spaces as you wander aimlessly, hoping you can escape this uneasy feeling.

Malice is the perfect combination of MYTHM and ColtCuts’ styles, and it showcases both tastefully as the two artists layer in sinister sounds. All four of these tracks are drenched in their shared love of dubstep and will make fans leave this EP on a constant replay. Listen to Malice on your favorite platform and see how cohesive MYTHM and ColtCuts’ musical visions are!
