Armin van Buuren compiles 42 Ibiza-worthy tracks, bringing the White Isle home to you, featuring ARTY, Driftmoon, Orjan Nilsen, and more!

Armin van Buuren may be amid his four-date residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t had time to get into the studio and piece together the latest installment in the A State Of Trance mix series. For this go-round, he digs into the exquisite island vibes of the dance music capital of the world. This isn’t the first time the White Isle has been the target, featured on nine ASOT compilations since 2014. On A State Of Trance, Ibiza 2023, Armin van Buuren spreads 42 tracks across three mixes: On The Beach, In The Club, and Who’s Afraid Of 138?!.

Let’s get into a few highlights from each section. The first to stand out from the On The Beach mix is the Jochem Hamerling remix of Armin van Buuren’s “Motive.” He pulls the tune into the after-hours with a striking melodic upgrade. Another one to raise the eyebrows is “Turn Off Your Conscious” by Ahmed Helmy. The dark, diabolical soundscape is meant for the most massive of spaces and flows effortlessly into “Follow The Light” by Teo Mandrelli, Hel-sløwed, and Jordan Grace. But the On The Beach mix has lighter offerings, like John Grand‘s “Fired Up” and ARTY‘s “Listen To Me,” two tracks that put us in the mood to dig our toes into the sand.

The On The Beach mix was bold enough to make us feel like we were in the club, but the In The Club mix says, “Hold my beer.” From the out-of-body experience created by Orjan Nilsen‘s “9910” and 7 Skies‘ “Tokyo777” to the nostalgia-driven Innellea remix of “In And Out Of Love” featuring Sharon Den Adel, Ibiza’s club life has never sounded so enticing. Markus Schulz even drops by to spin us down the Rabbit Hole with his version of “Circa-Forever” by Rapid Eye, and Whiteout holds us in this pocket of insanity with “Soundwave.” By the time you reach the electric sci-fi stylings of “Artificial Intelligence” by Trance Wax, your muscles will be primed and ready to take on the tempo of the final mix!

Who’s Afraid Of 138?! Certainly not us. We dive in head-first into the sea of speedy soundwaves. MurZo’s “Kiss The Night” jumps from the lot as we dash along, boasting a gigantic, uplifting melody. It’s a track that massages the brain as the world fades away. Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1, and Ruben de Ronde follow that up with the ASOT 2024 anthem, “Destination,” an exhilarating tune that inspires listeners to book the next flight to Ibiza. Add to that the grand orchestral stylings of Doppenberg‘s “After All These Years,” the house-inspired vocals of “You Are The Master” by BK, and the playful tribal notes of “Konje” by Le Shuuk and B-Stylezz, and we have a soundtrack perfect for any party animal!
