To commemorate its global expansion, Monstercat partners with Grand Prix Season Singapore to host an exclusive closing party.

Monstercat is the latest independent electronic music record label to grow its footprint in the Asia Pacific region with the opening of its new office in Singapore this week. This expansion will see the international brand’s dominance continue as this new office joins the two others in Vancouver and Los Angeles. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Monstercat is partnering with the Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) to host an exclusive All That Matters Closing Party, set to take place at the heart of Singapore’s thriving nightlife area, Clarke Quay, on September 28.

Branded as “a conference by day and music festival by night,” All That Matters has become one of the most influential events in Asia to connect partners across the music, gaming, sports, and online entertainment industries since its inauguration in 2005. On top of collaborative networking opportunities, panel discussions, and guest speakers, All The Matters also hosts their free live music festival, “Music Matters Live,” as a gateway for emerging dynamic artists to engage new fans in Asia.

This time boasting a line-up of premier, regional talents with releases on the label, the Monstercat x GPSS will see performances at Music Matters Live by talented artists, including Indonesia’s Weird Genius, Vietnam’s Hoaprox, and Singapore’s rising producer, Foxela. Beyond the live performances and musical celebration, Monstercat will also host an exclusive “Electronic Music Matters” panel at the conference. Monstercat’s co-founder and CEO Mike Darlington will grace the event with an “All That Music Publishing Matters” guest panel and other regional partners such as Robb Harker of Supermodified, Ayu Ayundita of Ismaya, Dona Inthaxoum of Meta, and Monstercat’s own artist, Hoaprox will also be making their presence on stage.

Monstercat has long been invested in growing the Asian electronic music community and we’re thrilled to dig in with our newly established APAC office to celebrate and showcase some of its greatest talent to the rest of the world.

Stephen Dowler, Head of Monstercat, APAC

An empowered label that is passionate about building communities of artists and fans, Monstercat is proving its blazing strength to reshape and reimagine the electronic music industry landscape in Asia Pacific. Within the last year, regional artists like Foxela (Singapore), Papa Khan (Indonesia), Godlands (Australia), Weird Genius (Indonesia), Hoaprox (Vietnam), and Dexter King (China) have signed releases on the label as the prolific brand also seeks to build on their live events department, casting their eyes on future Monstercat lineups, stages and tours across APAC’s premier clubs and festivals.

The official opening of our Asia Pacific office is the culmination of years of work and a significant milestone in our mission towards building artist sustainability. With it, comes the improved ability to service our artists, fans, and partners in the region. Now, with three offices between Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Singapore, we are continuing to reimagine the way that a Canadian independent can create value for artists around the world.

Daniel Turcotte, Commercial Director of Monstercat

It is just a matter of time before a majority of record labels and music affiliates mark their presence in the Asia Pacific region. With an estimated population of over four billion in APAC, the markets in the region are undoubtedly a swelling focus for dance and electronic music brands. Monstercat has now affirmed its position as a leading player in Asia’s electronic music market as they continue to evolve in broadening its reach and tapping into new opportunities across localized platforms.

Monstercat x GPSS is a free public event and will take place on September 28 in Clarke Quay, Singapore, from 9:00pm (GMT+8) to 12:00am (GMT +8).
