The Brooklyn Mirage has undergone a complete redesign and will host artists including Alesso, Bonobo, Charlotte de Witte, and more this season!
When The Brooklyn Mirage broke onto the NYC nightlife scene, it was an immediate hit drawing sold-out crowds right from the start. As the only notable open-air venue that’s smaller than a stadium yet still large enough to host marquee names, it satisfied revelers’ desire for a club feel in an outdoor space. Even in its first, rudimentary iteration, it got a lot of things right from the start. For example, the parapet walkways with Manhattan views and a lookout tower with a tiki bar have remained from the beginning.
After its first two years, notable modifications were made to improve the video mapping and remove obstacles from the main dance floor. However, a number of columns remained in order to hold up the intricate lighting and mapping system in place at the time. But now, for 2022, those columns are gone and major modifications have been made to the stage, video, and lighting capabilities.
The Mirage was always meant to adapt and change, to appear and to disappear. Every new generation of the Mirage innovates with new custom methods of building modular structures, as well as with non-traditional use of the latest multi-media and entertainment technology available. This year we’re introducing the third generation of our Mirage concept and while it will bring a lot of improvements and upgrades, and will set new standards on many levels, we found a way to keep the soul of the last generations alive.

In addition to a now completely unobstructed dance floor, the entire stage area has been completely reimagined. There is a new and enormous video wall that spans the entire 200-foot wide stage and is 30-feet tall. The video wall boasts 30 million pixels in 15k ultra-wide resolution across 1000-LED panels. The entire video rework is a collaboration with the multi-media studio Conveyor; it even includes a bespoke media-server system. The stage area also now boasts a seemingly floating roof system to shield performers (and gear) from the elements while adding to the lighting production.
