Q-dance is bringing four days of absolute madness to Defqon.1 this year with D-Block & S-Te-Fan, Headhunterz, Sefa, and more!

After two years of dealing with on-and-off lockdowns and COVID restrictions, The Netherlands is finally returning back to “normal” with pre-pandemic life. Back in February, the Dutch government announced that bars and nightclubs can go back to usual operating hours, thus opening the door for festivals and large-scale events to return as well. Luckily, this also means that Q-dance is bringing back the world’s biggest hard dance festival, Defqon.1, on June 23-26 this year.

The upcoming edition will be the first time Defqon.1 spans four days, giving Weekend Warriors an extra dose of speedy beats and distorted kickdrums after years of patiently waiting to return to the motherland. In true Q-dance style, they didn’t hold back with this year’s lineup, hosting over 300 of the world’s greatest hard dance artists and offering something for everyone from veteran fans to newcomers alike.

There’s a stacked list of artists taking the stage this year including industry heavyweights from Angerfist and Radical Redemption to Headhunterz and Sefa. Q-dance didn’t stop just there as fans will also get to hear the sounds of Gunz For Hire, Ran-D, Rebelion, Sound Rush, Sub Zero Project, N-Vitral, Lady Faith, Rob Gee, and many more that will be playing throughout the weekend. Check out the full list of artists set to perform by heading to the Defqon.1 2022 website.

Further, D-Block & S-Te-Fan had the honor of creating the 2020 anthem, “Primal Energy“, but never got to play it for a live audience as the 2020 edition turned into Defqon.1 At Home. For this year, the duo transformed “Primal Energy” from 2020 into a Ghost Stories live version, their side project with Evelyn Bakker. The Release livestream gave fans a teaser of the new version of “Primal Energy,” but also made it known that Ghost Stories will play at the festival on Sunday during The Closing Ceremony with the phenomenal special effects and fireworks experience.

In addition, Q-dance also gave Weekend Warriors a preview of the festival program, bringing back fan-favorites and staples of Defqon.1 including The Gathering on Thursday, The Closing Ritual on Sunday, Power Hour, and Defqon.1 Legends set. Something new for the festival will be Fresh Friday, where every stage will be open all day with a twist: Friday will be dedicated to artists and performances that fans wouldn’t normally expect with every stage having a primary focus. There’s no doubt Friday will be one of the most hectic and unique days of the weekend, so don’t miss out on the EPIQ return of Defqon.1.

The last batch of tickets for Friday, Sunday, and four-day upgrades are available now. Check out the announcement video and full lineup below, and head over to the Defqon.1 website to grab your passes. You won’t want to miss out on this insane experience!
