After taking a year off, Solarstone has returned with the ninth edition of his acclaimed Pure Trance compilation series!
When dance floors around the world became quiet due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Solarstone – the man behind the Pure Trance brand – decided to suspend the annual series of compilations and focus on his other creative efforts, such as Electronic Architecture. The world is steadily heading back to a semblance of normalcy, and with it, crowds are returning to nightclubs and festivals. As such, Solarstone decided fans of trance should get back into the creative energy of Pure Trance with a brand new compilation.
For its ninth edition, Solarstone tapped long-time trance brethren Stoneface & Terminal. Residents of the illustrious euphonic trance label for the first decade of their career, Matthias Gierth (Stoneface) and Henry Nix (Terminal) hail all the way back from the vinyl era of DJs. Today the duo also contributes works under their more progressive styled alias Gundamea.
In Pure Trance Volume 9, these two goliaths of the trance market collide to bring fans another sweet, succulent, tasty treat. Spread over two mixes and two CDs, each artist takes the reins of driving home the Pure Trance mood as we walk forward and beyond 2021. Solarstone graces his mix with a plethora of tunes in either rework or retouch mode from the deftly brilliant hands of a seasoned veteran. For his part, he weaves in the sounds of Adam Nickey, Hel:sløwed, and Paul Ryan with his own touches. Stoneface & Terminal include plenty of external love as well – harnessing not only their sounds but plenty of friends along the way. See Lost Witness, Corin Bayley, Robert Nickson, and the immaculate M.I.K.E. Push as fellow journeyman on the second mix!
