Since exploding onto the scene, Los Angeles based Adrien Mezsi has become a growing name. Mezsi has been locked in the studio, forging tracks with influences from underground Techno parties and EDM sounds. A glance at his Soundcloud page will show that he’s certainly been busy in the last few weeks. He’s had recent releases on Size Records, Spinnin’ Records and Strictly Rhythm. Support for Adrien Mezsi has come from the likes of Tiesto, Kaskade, Paul Oakenfold, and Mark Knight. Even BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong has been shown support by featuring one of his tracks last summer. He’s a passionately dedicated producer, who’s released a remix of Kanye West’s “All Day.”

Adrien Mezsi recently established his very own record label, Mezsed Up, which has released tracks such as the heavy-hitting “Bomba’” and his own take on “Generation.” These tracks definitely pump steadily as energetic Progressive-infused Electro, perfect for a crowd craving to bounce. This new remix though goes for a more deep trap sound with some intricate synth work and a lot of power in the percussion. The buildup of this track seems to come from Mezsi’s progressive house knowledge, especially the synth work. Make no mistake, Mezsi has successfully transformed this song while preserving the bite of the original by keeping a verse in. The biggest 808 bass kick sneaks in underneath the vibe of the original track, keeping the main melody and Kanye’s vocals guiding the track. If trap is the direction Adrien Mezsi is going to start going in, I welcome it gladly. While it’s usually not anticipated for someone who produces Progressive to be able to jump into the trap game, Mezsi is making it work. Keep alert of Adrien Mezsi as well as Mezsed Up on social media to hear about new music coming your way!
