Monstercat Silk looks to Russian progressive house artists Fløa and Spectorsonic for Goodbye, the latest release to grace the imprint.

The soothing, serene sounds of progressive house are ones that any music lover around the world can come to love and the genre has been a persistent force in the scene for decades. Whether it’s been the soundtrack for those looking to dance the day away or others who are on the hunt for something to keep them steady, the depth, emotion, and powerful tones always do the trick to make for a magical listening experience. One of the labels continuing to champion that style is Monstercat Silk, and they’ve now gifted the world with a fantastic new EP from Fløa and Spectorsonic.

These two Russian artists might be fairly fresh on the scene, but both have truly begun to come into their own as of late. Fløa has already gained some momentum with his signature deep, melodic stylings in the progressive realm that has caught the attention of labels like Colorize, Zerothree, and PRGRSSN. And Spectorsonic has impressed with his own releases on Neostatics Sounds and Emergent Cities, while also catching the ear of Solarstone and his Pure Trance imprint under the alias Hitrov.

Last year saw Fløa and Spectorsonic come together to create the Music Gravitation podcast, and they also clearly put their creative minds together in the studio as well. The result of their work is the three-track Goodbye EP, which features their collaboration on the title track along with two fresh singles from Fløa as well for an even more immersive listening experience.

Their collaborative track “Goodbye” leads the charge in the release, offering up warm, atmospheric pads that will quickly sweep listeners off their feet and whisk them away to progressive paradise. It’s one of those tunes that’s warm and comforting and will leave anyone hypnotized. Then Fløa takes the reins on “Hermione” to continue the trip with a touch of energy that builds while the melodies captivate the soul. His track “It’s Time To Move On” is a slow burner that marks the final chapter of this trilogy with its subtle vocal and emotional depth that will uplift your being, brighten your day, and help you move on.

Listen to the Goodbye EP on Spotify or your favorite platform, and stay tuned for more to come from Fløa and Spectorsonic in the future!
