Danger takes on the original soundtrack for the video game Haven, adding his innovative style in electronic music to the virtual world.
French producer and Video game enthusiast Danger created the original soundtrack to the video game Haven, making this his third studio album. Though this isn’t his first collaboration with The Game Baker, this album brings nature alive to complete the feeling of being physically in the video game. In fact, his electro-infused style perfectly with the game’s sci-fi, anime imagery to create something that’s immersive and memorable for those who play.
This OST was released nearly a year after his highly recognized sophomore album, Origins. But unlike his previous album, the one for Haven is lighthearted and very colorful, with Danger showing his passion for video games throughout. He also paired the release of the soundtrack with his own visuals to bring his interpretation front and center, adding even more depth to the tunes that are filled with dynamic elements and unique twists and turns.

Opening track, “4:42 Still Free,” which was released as a single earlier this year, is a dramatic song with a fast pace.
“04:42 Still Free” matches with the imagery of running through a virtual forest. The unique array of sounds ensures a strong introduction, not only for the album but for the video game as well. This track provides a narrative for the rest of the adventure that is to come as listeners dive into the world of Danger’s creation.
Later on in the album, “11:18 Move it Muffin” takes another imaginative turn with a retro aesthetic that fits the virtual video game world perfectly. The soft piano begins before breaking into a jazzier style riff adding a fast tempo to the mix. The dynamic tempo alongside the piano and airy elements create a vivid feeling of flowing water.
Toward the end of the soundtrack, “00:21 Nothing But Rust” features a steady build-up with its mysterious, almost eerie beat. This track showcases Danger’s electro style yet maintains the integrity of the video game itself, establishing an invigorating feeling as if the lives of the player were restored. The placement of the song comes after “23:49 Do We Glow Too?” which brings a period of rest in its thought-provoking nature, and it leads into “00:21 Now or Never” which is filled to the brim with action.
The outro, “5:12 Space Caress” is short and peaceful, which is a slow yet powerful end to the soundtrack. The guitar work adds a traditional take and nighttime imagery that sets this one apart, showcases his innovative approach to electronic music, and gives the soundtrack a subtle and romantic ending.
Danger continues to wow with his unique style and the Haven OST demonstrates all aspects of his musical ability and impressive sound design. We can’t wait to see what he brings to the world next!
