Seismic Dance Event is the latest multi-day event to be postponed until the fall amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The past few weeks have been absolutely devastating for the festival scene and the entire entertainment community as a whole. Festivals and events all over the world have been cancelled or postponed in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and now Seismic Dance Event has released an update that they’ll be moving to November.

In a statement that was released today on their website and social media platforms, Seismic Dance Event’s organizers said: “Given the current COVID-19 safety precautions, limitations on public gatherings through May (at the earliest), and the uncertainty of how prolonged the containment timeline could extend, we have deemed that the timing for our spring edition is far too close for comfort to proceed with as originally planned.”

Additionally, they’ve announced that Seismic Dance Event will be expanding to a full three days and take place on November 13-15. There will also be a brand new venue in Austin that will play host to the upcoming edition, as their current one is being redeveloped.

Those who purchased two-day tickets for the May edition of Seismic Dance Event will automatically be upgraded to a three-day pass, and single-day ticket holders will be bumped up to two days. If you CANNOT attend the new dates and want a refund, you have until Sunday, March 29 to contact TIXR via email to receive a full refund.

The May edition was set to feature a lineup including Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin, Claude VonStroke, and many others. The organizers have stated they’re working to retain as many artists and add more for the additional day, so keep your eyes peeled for updates on that.

Stay tuned for more information about other cancellations and postponements from around the world as we continue to follow the impact coronavirus has on the festival season this year.
