Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter to Curate Art Basel Event with Rampa of Keinemusik

Warehouse Artefacts, as the Art Basel event is called, will see Thomas Bangalter and Rampa collaborate with visual artist Julian Charrière.

Thomas Bangalter is continuing his post-Daft Punk spree of working with modern dance music’s artists du jour. In October, he joined Fred Again.. onstage at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Now, he and Keinemusik co-founder Rampa are joining forces on an event at the Messe Basel event center in Switzerland on June 20.

The gathering is called Warehouse Artefacts, and it’s part of the 2026 edition of the broader Art Basel fair. Organizers art.klub and Nordstern Basel promise an “immersive experience,” likely owing to the involvement of Julian Charriere, a renowned French-Swiss photographer, sculptor, and filmmaker.

Rampa is reportedly set to play a five-hour set, and the bill teases a special guest. It remains to be seen whether the name will be dropped in the lead-up to the event, or if attendees will find out in real time.

Daft Punk, which was co-founded by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, famously became active in Paris in the early ’90s. They iconic albums like Homework, Discovery, and Random Access Memories before disbanding in grand fashion in 2021.

By comparison, Keinemusik is a much more recent phenomenon. The Berlin label and collective has generally remained active since it was launched in 2009 by Rampa, Adam Port, Reznik, &ME, and Monja Gentschow, but it has exploded in popularity following the COVID pandemic. In the past couple of years, Keinemusik has hosted events at the Great Pyramids of Giza and Corona Park in New York City, among other high-profile settings.

Tickets have yet to go on sale for Warehouse Artefacts. Find instructions on how to sign up for presale access on the Nordstern Basel website.
