STETIX Displays Commanding Style on Paradigm Shift Debut

Southern California-based artist STETIX makes his Paradigm Shift debut with a fiery guest mix consisting of all-original music.

STETIX is a Southern California-based artist who has been integral to the American Hard Dance scene, picking up rapid momentum in the past few years. His story started in 2009 when he was first exposed to techno and trance music as a fan. Even back then, he knew he wanted something harder and darker.

Searching online for what he could only describe as “dark hardcore techno/electronic music,” he stumbled upon Angerfist. This discovery opened his palette to a new realm of sounds, and he instantly fell in love with hardstyle and hardcore.

DJ Bl3nd served as a crucial part of the journey as he inspired STETIX to begin DJing. In 2011, STETIX received his first DJ controller and practiced daily to become more like the artists who first inspired him. His interest in dance music quickly became his passion, and in 2014, he took the step to start producing music. He explored many genres but ultimately came full circle to his first love: hardstyle.

Since starting his career, STETIX has become a mainstay of American Hard Dance, opening for legends like Brennan Heart, Coone, and Anime in addition to earning spots at Basscon Wasteland, local events like Hard Havoc, and international performances. Even with a busy touring schedule, STETIX still makes time to perfect his craft in the studio.

I’m very happy with the music I have been creating and the ideas that come to me. The biggest challenge I face is perfectionism. I am constantly trying to highlight every detail and aspect of my tracks. I really like to tell a story and take the listener on a journey of sound. I don’t have a set release date, but I will definitely have new music out this year!

Outside of music production and DJing, STETIX advocates for the hardstyle scene as a fan. “Although I have witnessed growth in this genre, it still hasn’t reached its full potential. I would love to see hard dance artists on bigger festival stages and in more mainstream settings with more opportunities for shows overall,” he said.

He understands that “trends come and go, and capitalizing on what is hot and current or trying something new can be important for business.” Still, he says, “it is also important to hold the identity of hardstyle and not stray too far away from what makes it the unique genre we love.” STETIX sees a bright future for hard dance in America because of the love and passion of the community and artists—he hopes to see it at a level beyond imagination.

Adding another accolade to his career, STETIX has finally stopped by to make his debut on our hard dance mix series, Paradigm Shift! For 30 minutes, STETIX treats listeners to a banging guest mix that consists entirely of his own music. Fans get to hear his signature sound on tracks like “Meditation,” “Cosmic Creativity (Dimension G Anthem),” “Reflection,” and more. In addition, STETIX treats listeners to a top-secret ID with SAJCHE titled “RETINA.”

There is nothing that I am more passionate about and have such a strong love for than hard dance music. I truly strive to see this music be exposed to a wider audience so more people recognize how passionate the hard dance community is. Being attentive to your audience, listeners, and customers and seeing their feedback is very important for long term success and maintaining their trust. There is a bright future for hard dance music in America!
