Kaskade and Wilkinson Want You to "Shine On"

Kaskade and Wilkinson have teamed up with Paige Cavell on a fresh drum and bass tune that will soothe your soul, “Shine On.”

Drum and bass is hotter than ever before, and with that, several unlikely collaborations have surfaced from some of the scene’s most beloved artists. John Summit teamed up with Sub Focus earlier this year to drop the anthemic tune “Go Back,” and today, another major house artist has set his sights on the genre: Kaskade. The ARKADE boss looked to legendary DnB artist Wilkinson to craft “Shine On,” and it’s an absolute bop.

Those familiar with Kaskade know that he’s been a force to be reckoned with in the house scene for ages, but he also has a love for drum and bass as well. Although rare, he’s put this on display a handful of times, including a full-on drum and bass surprise set at Beyond Wonderland SoCal 2019. Now, after years of chatting with Wilkinson about marrying their sounds, the two artists have finally completed their mission.

“Shine On” begins with piano notes and ticking before Paige Cavell‘s gorgeous vocals enter to dominate the soundscape. The tune begins to swell with energy before the drop kicks in to deliver a dose of drum and bass goodness. It’s an uplifting tune with a buttery smooth ride, making it a perfect fit for Kaskade and Wilkinson’s upcoming sets and one we can’t wait to hear played live.

It’s been amazing working with Wilkinson on this record, bringing our two sounds and ideas together and after only six years of discussing this collab it’s a vibe to see it out there in the world! Big love to Paige Cavell for the amazing vocal on this record!
