Hunter/Game Shares Gorgeous Soundscapes on 'VISION'

Italian duo Hunter/Game released their third full-length album, which is dripping with their signature avant-garde production elements and emotive atmospheres.

Melodic magic was created when Milan-born artists Martino Bertola and Emmanuele Nicosia began working together in the studio as Hunter/Game. Since then, the duo has commanded the minds of many around the world with their distinct blend of deep, emotive melodies and hypnotic basslines that have found their way onto labels like Afterlife, Zamna Records, Natura Viva, and more. Yet it would be another one of Hunter/Game’s homes, Just This, that the duo would land on over the past few months in the journey to releasing VISION.

VISION is Hunter/Game’s third studio album, and it features the same gorgeous soundscapes found on the duo’s two previous albums, Adaptation and Silence. As the seconds tick away on its ten tracks, listeners are transported into an immersive melodic house and techno wonderland, each of which showcases the duo’s production prowess and cinematic nature.

VISION explores the theme of our imaginary world and relates to how our music feels in this moment. We have the necessity to make something out of the frames of what’s current whilst also trying to do something timeless. We are very focused on communicating to our listeners this imaginary world we created for VISION, a world coming from dreams, lights, and a romantic relationship with music and the listeners.

The title track, along with tunes such as “Pacifico,” “Last Hour” with Ramverk, and “Faith” with Sailor & I, all stand tall among the collection. Yet the three tunes that bring Hunter/Game together with Noah Kulaga show how deep and emotion-fueled this duo can get. “Stars,” “Can Be Without Your Love,” and “All I Wanted” all offer enough energy to get your body moving while your mind remains hypnotized by Kulaga’s vocals that fit each soundscape like a glove.
