in New Releases

Confession showcases booty-shaking tunes from SUBSHIFT, Shdws, Kiro Prime, Loge21, and more on the fifth volume of Discothèque Records.

The bass house scene is alive and well, due, in part, to the efforts of Tchami and his imprint, Confession. This label has been paramount in putting the genre front and center with its releases while continuing to spotlight artists who are pushing the boundaries of its sounds. While other compilations have been huge from Confession, Discothèque Records has kept listeners coming back for more, and now it’s reached its fifth volume.

Discothèque Records Vol. 5 is out now across all platforms and features 14 tasty bass house tunes from some of the scene’s most forward-thinking artists. Artists gracing this volume include Matsu, Nicky Genesis, CASHEW, Control Room, NAØ, Zachary Fremont, and more, all of whom throw down some pure dancefloor heat that’s sure to get crowds grooving.

Among the tunes are some true standouts that can’t be ignored. Chuwe’s “Alerta” sees him team up with Myles O’Neal to spark energy and properly set the tone for the type of sounds that will be present on the compilation. You can’t help but gravitate to this one. SUBSHIFT’s “Shaka” is another quick stunner. Its repeated vocals hypnotize the mind while the groovy bassline on the drop infects the ears. If you loved the repeated vocal in that tune from SUBSHIFT, then the warehouse-ready “Rich Club” by Loge21 will be a treat for you, with its offering paired with acid tones and rave stabs.

Meanwhile, Shdws‘ “Hit The Floor” commands the mind with its vocals while its sirens, warbled synths, and bumping bassline that make it a solid peak hour tune. And you can’t help but fall hard for the subterranean grooves on “Freaks,” as Kiro Prime and PAT RIOT deliver deliciously deep bass while keeping the energy levels at the perfect level to move and shake to.

Listen to Discothèque Records Vol. 5 on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from Confession by following the label on social media.
