After over two years in the making, Purple Disco Machine has finally released his third studio album, Paradise, featuring nostalgic vibes and top-tier collaborators.
The sounds of disco have been front and center in the minds of many music lovers lately. While the genre has been through popularity swings, its presence in the dance music scene has continued to keep it alive, especially with artists like Purple Disco Machine championing it. Over the years, he’s put out some truly remarkable disco-infused tunes that have ignited dancefloors worldwide, and his third album, Paradise, continues that trend.
Purple Disco Machine began producing tracks for Paradise two and a half years ago, meticulously working in the studio and teaming up with collaborators for added impact. The feel-good nature of nu-disco, with its blend of nostalgia-inducing elements and modern techniques, is displayed throughout the 15 tracks that grace this album destined for greatness.
Previously released singles from Paradise helped showcase the collaborative nature that Purple Disco Machine brings with his productions. This includes “Something On My Mind” with Duke Dumont and Nothing But Thieves, “Substition” with Kungs and Julian Perretta, and “Beat Of Your Heart” with ASDIS, all of which are dripping with dancefloor energy and powerful vocal performances. Meanwhile, “Bad Company,” the album’s sole solo tune, is just fantastic as he delivers a throwback ride that pumps forward with a solid groove.
The Magician joined Purple Disco Machine on “All My Life,” the album’s penultimate tune, after the two met at Tomorrowland in 2023. After beginning with the backing track, it was clear a catchy topline was needed to take it to the next level. “I wasn’t sure at the start thinking it might be too much, but after testing it with the crowd and everyone singing along, hands up in the air, I knew it was the right addition,” Purple Disco Machine shared. “For ‘Paradise’ I only wanted to work with people I admire and that’s why it’s so cool for me to have The Magician on the album.”
Another standout tune is “Honey Boy,” which brings Benjamin Ingrosso, Shenseea, and legendary artist Nile Rodgers into the mix for a vibey tune you can’t help but play repeatedly. Others, like “Can’t Stop Loving You” with MORGAN and “Heartbreaker” with Chromeo, show off the duality of emotions felt when falling for someone, from when your heart flutters to the confusion that surfaces with mixed signals.
Paradise is one of Purple Disco Machine’s best works yet, and its infectious grooves will translate well to any venue where he takes the stage. Listen to the album on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more by following him on social media.
