Anna Lunoe is set to release her debut album, Pearl, on NLV Records this fall, and she’s dropped off the title track to give everyone a taste of what’s in store.
Australian artist Anna Lunoe has stood out from the crowd for years. She’s been at the forefront of the scene with releases that have included collaborations with artists like Chris Lake, Skrillex, Flume, and more. Beyond her work in the studio, Anna Lunoe has made an impact with top-tier performances and her Create / Destroy podcast, helping her solidify her voice in the industry. Now, she’s adding another chapter to her story with news of her debut album on NLV Records, Pearl.
Much of Anna Lunoe’s career has been dominated by singles, making Pearl her most ambitious work yet. Although the full tracklist has yet to be revealed, one thing is certain: she’ll be exploring her vast influences from house and techno to UK Garage and indie dance within the confines of its soundscapes.
For Anna Lunoe, Pearl also marks a pivotal shift in her career as an artist. “When I started out in dance music as a local DJ, my dream was to fill dance floors and pay my rent,” she shared. “As my career expanded and the industry changed and I got thrown into new challenge after new challenge, I always felt like my artist voice had to be secondary to my DJ needs. So, in a way, this marks a kinda colossal shift in perspective on my career to date, putting my artistry at the front in a way I never have before.”
The forthcoming album is anticipated to include singles from Anna Lunoe, such as “Real Love,” “Deep Blue Sea,” “Right Here” with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and “Only Love” with Y U QT. Each shows off the dynamic range that the Aussie brings to her productions. As an added treat, Anna Lunoe dropped off another gem today, the album’s title track, to delight her fanbase.
“Pearl” departs from the club-ready nature that Anna Lunoe has emphasized over the years yet retains bouncy dancefloor-ready energy. The bumping bassline pairs well with the shimmery synth arpeggios and vocal samples to offer a warm, summery feeling that wraps around your mind as the seconds tick away.
Listen to “Pearl” on Spotify or your preferred platform. Make sure to pre-save the album ahead of its release on October 25!
