On his debut album, Head Rush, Channel Tres showcases his genre-blending style and deep-rooted influences while exploring new sonic realms.

From releasing sensational singles and mixtapes to performing on some of the world’s biggest stages, Channel Tres continues to add to his growing legacy each year. His unique blend of house, techno, hip-hop, and more has led to intoxicating soundscapes, and that, along with other influences that hadn’t been explored before, is exactly what the Los Angeles-based artist has channeled on his debut album, Head Rush.

Head Rush, out now via RCA Records, is a testament to Channel Tres’s mastery of his productions. The album’s singles, “Berghain” with Barney Bones and “Cactus Water,” helped showcase the different soundscapes that would arrive. The former layers in grittier industrial vibes, while the latter features a fresh, funky groove. Both, of course, put Tres’ vocal prowess on full display.

The additional 15 tracks on the album are just as dynamic as Channel Tres digs his teeth into different genres. Solo tunes like “Black & Mild,” “Joyful Noise,” “I’m Him,” “Type,” and “Two Ways” pair deep lyrical flows with backing beats that range from funk-forward to others that are stripped back for added ambiance.

While those solo tunes all stand tall, there’s plenty more to explore as Head Rush is jam-packed with quality collaborations. “Candy Paint” sees Channel Tres team up with Thundercat for a shimmery ride while “Holy Moly” brings Ty Dolla $ign into the mix for another gem perfect for getting down and dirty on the dancefloor during a club night. Others, like “ASPEN” with Toro Y Moi and “We Hungry” with Estelle, will have you bumping right along with them.

This album opens the door to a new era for Channel Tres, and it’s clear that he won’t be resting on his laurels anytime soon. Give Head Rush a listen on Spotify or your preferred platform, and follow him on social media to stay informed about upcoming releases and shows.
