Acclaimed artist Channel Tres is adding another chapter to his ongoing legacy with the release of his forthcoming debut album, Head Rush.
Channel Tres has made a name for himself over the years with standout performances and soundscapes that harmoniously marry elements of Detroit techno, Chicago house, and West Coast rap. During his career, he’s released countless singles, jumped on tunes as a featured artist, and delivered fantastic mixtapes, but an album remained elusive. That will change this summer as Channel Tres announced that his debut album, Head Rush, will arrive on June 14 via RCA Records.
Although limited details have surfaced surrounding the album, Channel Tres has given everyone a taste of what’s to come with the release of its lead single, “Berghain.” The Los Angeles-based artist incorporated sonic elements that he’s become known to champion over the years on this track while opening up a new side of his sound along the way. Channel Tres brings Barney Bones into the mix on this track to bring even more layers into the mix as the two deliver powerful vocals over the darker, almost ominous beat that transports you straight into the middle of a rave at the famed German nightclub itself.
The news of Channel Tres’ upcoming album and the release of its first single follows his fantastic performance last month at Coachella, where he took the stage at the Do LaB during the festival’s first weekend. Check out the official visualizer for “Berghain” on YouTube, download or stream the track on your preferred platform, and stay tuned for Head Rush to drop on June 14.
