Grey returns to their electronic dance roots to mark their musical homecoming with their latest five-track EP on Lowly.

Take a trip down Grammy-nominated artist Grey‘s impeccable discography, and there, you will find plenty of chart-topping bops that blend an addictive dance-pop production with infectious vocal melodies. From collaborating with Zedd on hit songs like “The Middle” and “Starving” to churning out viral remixes of tracks from A-list superstars such as Skrillex, Mike Posner, Ariana Grande, and more, Grey stands firm as one of the most adored artists in the music scene today. Having immersed themselves in the pop music world for a while, they now return to their dance roots to deliver heaters in their latest EP, CONTRA, out on Lowly.

Fearlessly expressing their creativity yet staying true to their unique sound palette, Grey releases five sizzling tracks in the new package for the fans to feast their ears on. This includes a fresh single, “SILVER LINEN,” which rounds off the EP as the final song. The track flows with magnetizing movements and full-bodied basslines, woven perfectly with smooth, rolling drum patterns. Los Angeles-based vocalist SAYAK DAS‘ indulgent vocals complement the bass-house hook to deliver a zesty energy.

Four singles were unveiled in the lead-up to CONTRA’s release, each showcasing the band’s impressive creativity and musicality. Their craftsmanship is evident within the intricate layers of bass-fueled and dynamic tracks like “7-DS” and “RAVEN.” These two tracks saw Grey team up with other talented artists, AWAY and Virtual Riot, showing they know how to breathe new life into the world of electronic music with these stellar bangers.

The title track is a straight-up banger as Grey weaves in a mix of percussive rhythms and deep psychedelic basslines. Perfect for creating an intense and energetic atmosphere on the dancefloor, this single effortlessly showcases the brothers’ undeniable talent for fusing elements of grimy bass house and irresistible energy with an intricate production.

And smack dab in the middle is “IDK,” which kicks off with a foreboding introduction, galvanizing a slow buildup that sends the listeners straight to the peak before catapulting them back to reality through vivid layers of addictive melodies and dizzying synths. This tune makes it clear that Grey is on a hot streak to become a master of their craft.
