SEEK brings his dark experimental soundscapes to Street Ritual for the first time with the release of his latest four-track EP, METHOD.
As of late, Los Angeles-based DJ and producer SEEK has been steadily creating a name for himself in the underground dubstep world. With appearances on respected bass music labels like Deep Dark and Dangerous, Shakhta Records, WiddFam, Noizion Records, and others, the releases under his belt thus far have shown off his keen ear for deep and experimental production. A true artist of multiple mediums, SEEK also creates digital art, all of which goes hand-in-hand with his music.
In addition to plenty of underground West Coast events like Vibey Desert, SEEK played his first Black Box Denver show last year alongside Woven Thorns. He also released his most music ever in 2023 and is already bringing that energy into the New Year with the arrival of his latest EP, METHOD. Arriving via VEIL‘s Street Ritual, the four-track project marks SEEK’s debut with the imprint while simultaneously showcasing his dark, experimental sound.
The opening tune, “OFFENSE,” brings a wobbly introduction to SEEK’s story on Method before a dark bassline takes over to set the scene. SEEK keeps a steady 140 tempo throughout the project, but the beats don’t lack influence from other sub-genres of bass music.
The second track, “RED METHOD,” stands out with a sinister and experimental spin on classic head-nodding dubstep and will surely make listeners spin it back. “DEBUNK” even introduces some choppy and percussive elements that ode to riddim before things get bouncy once again on “ANARCHY” as SEEK brings this bass-fueled ride to a proper close.
The METHOD EP is out everywhere now, so head over to Spotify or your preferred platform to stream this one for yourself, and be sure to keep up with SEEK if you dig his sound.
