Chef Boyarbeatz Unleashes the Fury of ‘Squidward’s Revenge’

Chef Boyarbeatz writes the perfect script for Squidward’s Revenge, and he’s serving up plenty of vengeance.

Chef Boyarbeatz is… insert cliché cooking reference related to music here… but aside from the cooking lingo that coincides with his moniker, this guy knows how to chop and dice the perfect combos on Ableton. In just a few years, his impact on the scene has been massive, thus catching the attention of the likes of Deadbeats, Manuka Records, and Deep, Dark & Dangerous.

Not only does Chef Boyarbeatz’s music fill a void that most producers seem to miss, but he also has one of the best live DJ sets many have seen in quite some time. This madman slings out doubles, even triples, on the decks that make any music enthusiast weak in the knees as they cry out “wheel it” at the top of their lungs. Now, after dominating the decks at Apocalypse Zombieland, he’s back with two more tracks to add to his long list of heaters on his latest EP, Squidward’s Revenge.

Within this two-track EP that’s landed on Bassrush Records, listeners can experience new soundscapes from Chef that push the limits of his sound. From nostalgia-inducing under-the-sea influence to drum kits that will make your jaw drop, these tracks will leave an impression on everyone who listens.

Right out of the gate, the title track clearly resembles the throw-back Squidward character with his pretentious and rude energy influence. Follow along in a riot as the bubbly tentacle steps waddle you through 140 terrains and dashes of signature Chef flavors but through Squidward’s vengeful perspective. Creeping into the room, “Steppah” provides some stealth. Drums and cymbals carry you through the song with cartoonish gunshots and additional low-end frequencies tucked within the drops.
