11th Hour Offers Three Sultry New Cuts on ‘Foolish’

Elusive Belgian dubstep producer 11th Hour returns to London-based imprint Locus Sound with his latest project, Foolish.

Of the countless non-US producers who keep a low profile, 11th Hour will likely be one of your favorite dubstep artist’s favorite artists. Based in Brussels, the 140 producer has been steadily creating for the last decade and playing one-of-a-kind underground shows for those lucky enough to catch him in the UK or Belgium. 11th Hour may have been in the shadows to US fans in his early years, but he’s also quickly making more of a name for himself here. His tracks are constantly getting rinsed in DJ sets from US producers like Ternion Sound, Tunic, Chef Boyarbeatz, and more, and it’s safe to say US fans hope for him to come to the States soon.

With releases on countless coveted labels from Duploc to Wheel & Deal in his arsenal, 11th Hour is also no stranger to Locus Sound. Known for his deep and often minimal sonics, he has a keen ear for making dubstep that pops, whether on its own or mixed live. He’s done just that on his latest project, Foolish, which has found its home on the London-based imprint.

11th Hour has been teasing the arrival of his debut full-length album next month, and the Foolish EP serves as a perfect warm-up for what’s to come on the forthcoming release. The title track is one that fans will undoubtedly recognize if they’ve caught a Ternion Sound set recently or listened to 11th Hour’s “Straight From The Vault” unreleased mix series. Its catchy beat and grime-infused vocal bits make for the perfect opening track that keeps any dubstep head listening to the next.

Meanwhile, “Takeoff” presents an alien-esque vibe as a more laid-back, layered tune that circles in a simple, satisfying beat before the closing track packs a nice concluding punch. Then, the EP’s closing track, “Levitation” offers a fair share of wobbles and whomps to satisfy any bass lover while sticking true to 11th Hour’s dark 140 grooves and unmistakable low-ends.

Foolish is out everywhere now. Be sure to stream the release on Spotify or head to Bandcamp to support 11th Hour by purchasing the tunes.
