FEMME HOUSE label boss LP Giobbi is the latest electronic producer to enter Taylor Swift’s orbit with her remix of “Cruel Summer.”

It’s hardly a surprise that Taylor Swift continues to cement herself as an astronomical force within the music industry. Following the monumental success of her 2023 album release, Midnights, in addition to “The Eras Tour” claiming the spot of the highest-grossing tour of all time, Taylor Swift has now recruited house producer LP Giobbi to remix her for chart-topping hit “Cruel Summer,” which dropped on October 19.

Initially released on Taylor Swift’s seventh studio album, Lover, in 2019, “Cruel Summer” found renewed life in 2023 when the track was released as a single, fueled by a surge in popularity on social media. The track gained prominence throughout “The Eras Tour,” where Swift’s mesmerizing song performances created shockwaves within and beyond her dedicated fanbase. Its iconic bridge transcends genres, earning recognition and acclaim from fans across the musical spectrum.

Electronic artists and fans alike have embraced Taylor Swift’s music, introducing it into festival sets, shows, and mixes. LP Giobbi has teased the official remix of “Cruel Summer” in recent sets, which combines Swift’s synth-filled pop melodies with Giobbi’s signature groovy house sound. As the founder of FEMME HOUSE, LP Giobbi’s collaboration with Taylor Swift creates a great pairing, as both female artists are passionate about bringing more female faces and voices to the music industry.

While Taylor Swift’s roots primarily lie in pop, country, and indie music, her artistic influence has entered the electronic realm. Her infusion within electronic music is provoking pop-up raves that have taken place across the US, and her tunes have been making their way into recent sets of artists like John Summit, Disco Lines, and Pretty Lights. Additionally, Four Tet, Skrillex, and Fred again.. played “Love Story” during their iconic set at Coachella this past spring.

The remix’s release comes on the heels of Taylor Swift’s blockbuster concert film, showcasing her unforgettable production of The Eras Tour. The film began showing in theaters last week and is now accompanied by the LP Giobbi remix and a live recording of “Cruel Summer” from the tour.
