Feed Me Releases New EP After Six Years

Hannah Roberts by Hannah Roberts

in New Releases

Feed Me enlightens fans with electro house, bass, and more on Feed Me From The Clouds, his debut EP on Ophelia Records.

Feed Me has remained a beloved name in the scene for nearly two decades. From massive releases like “Love Is All I Got” with Crystal Fighters, “One Click Headshot,” “Rat Trap,” and “I Do Coke” with Kill The Noise, to dabbling with other alias’ like SPOR and Seventh Stitch and even launching his own imprint, Sotto Voce, Feed Me has no doubt taken his talents far and wide.

Feed Me’s longtime fans can’t get enough of his signature electro-house meets dubstep sound. Landing on labels such as mau5trap, OWSLA, and Monstercat over the years, this producer now looks to Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records to release his debut EP on the imprint and first EP in six years, Feed Me From The Clouds.

I’d been looking for a label I could feel some community spirit with for a while (as well as relaunching my own imprint), and Jeff’s label gave the creative freedom and family feel I felt like I needed, as well as him being an artist I admire.

Feed Me

The EP begins with “Total” as Feed Me invites listeners to take this sonic journey. Traversing through a thumping bassline and harmonic synths as the track gears up, we land on a grimy midtempo realm before picking up speed in the latter half. Then, it’s time to slow things down with “Love Control,” a beautiful display of electric melodies, as we chase its elusive vocals throughout the track.

“Say Yes Or Say No” explores electro house with a modern twist. Full of iconic yet familiar synths, the track begins with a melodic buildup as a voice beckons, “Follow me,” prompting listeners to become completely engulfed in its high-energy beats upon the drop. The EP then closes out with a bang on “Thump Thump,” urging listeners to shake off any stress and dance along in the lively universe of Feed Me.

After hearing “Say Yes Or Say No” in early July and seeing what was to come on the EP, it’s safe to say we are not disappointed. From notes of bass, electro house, vocal progressive, and house melodies, this artist successfully covers it all while staying true to his signature Feed Me sound. We’re happy to see he’s found a community with Ophelia, and we look forward to seeing what he will concoct next.
