Pendulum Announce Fall 2023 Australian Tour With ShockOne

Pendulum will return to their nation of origin for a five-date run with support from fellow Aussie ShockOne.

Beloved in the worldwide realm of drum and bass, Pendulum enjoy a tour schedule that routinely brings them to faraway corners of the globe. Some time has passed since they visited their homeland of Australia, though. That all changes this fall as the “Halo” band have announced five dates from October 6-13 in cities across the continent with support from Perth-based DJ and producer ShockOne.

The Australian leg of Pendulum’s tour kicks off with a show at Spark Arena in Auckland on October 6. They plan to waste no time taking the show on the road. The following two nights will see them touch down in Melbourne and Perth at the John Cain Arena and RAC Arena, respectively. After a few days off, they will finish out the run of Australian dates with performances at Riverstage in Brisbane on October 12 and Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on October 13.

Pendulum formed in 2002, originally as a metal and hard rock-infused drum and bass act comprised of producers Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen along with drummer Paul Harding. Emcee Ben Mount, guitarist Peredur ap Gwynedd, and drummer KJ Sawka later joined the fold. In the years to follow they would release commercially successful albums such as Hold Your Colour, In Silico, and Immersion.

In 2011, Swire and McGrillen formed an electro house duo called Knife Party that rode the wave of the rapidly unfolding EDM explosion. At the same time, Pendulum grew less and less active as a band. They formally announced that they would disband in 2012 after teasing new albums that would never come to fruition.

Pendulum reunited for a one-off set at Ultra Music Festival 2016. The positive reception they received inspired them to get back together in kind four years later. In the years since, they’ve performed throughout Europe and North America with sporadic music releases.

Pendulum is performing in Auckland, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney from October 6-13. Tickets are available via Frontier Touring.
