Bassrush Brings Forth Heat-Filled Volume of ‘The Prophecy’

Dive into the newest sounds in bass music with the latest volume of The Prophecy, featuring tracks from Deadcrow, VEIL, VILLA, and more.

Often regarded as a hub for all things bass music, Bassrush has become known for setting the standard of what bass music aspires to be within the world of dance music. While the brand’s events and releases typically bring lots of signature high-energy dubstep and endless headbanging, they’ve more recently focused on diversifying in order to push the envelope of what bass music means to listeners. The curators at Bassrush continue to do this best through The Prophecy compilation, bringing listeners a variety of new and exciting artists that serve as the next generation of bass music with each rendition.

At the beginning of the year, Bassrush dropped the seventh volume of The Prophecy with trap, riddim, and melodic bass tracks from artists like Xotix, Oddly Godly, M?STIC, and BLVK JVCK. Now, they are taking it one step further with the latest volume of the compilation series, featuring a new set of artists to watch across genres like dubstep, drum & bass, hardwave, and more.

The Prophecy: Volume 8 is filled with surprises, as Bassrush takes listeners on a journey of discovery through sound and reminds everyone why they’re the ones to beat for all things bass. TYNAN and OUTRAGE begin the compilation with their collaborative track, “Ego Death.” Listeners will begin to see the vision come together as the anticipation builds and erupts into an energy-fueled drop that demands their full attention.

The captivating trip continues with YDG‘s “In The Pit” bringing thunderous energy, and all the neck-breaking dubstep hits the headbangers require to be satiated. Meanwhile, Perry Wayne’s “Gut Punch” takes listeners down a steep turn by turning tearout into techno for a soundscape that will leave listeners stunned as these two worlds collide.

Deadcrow comes in hot, barely giving listeners a second to catch their breath as “UltraNova” transforms into a blend of sounds, melding influence from hybrid trap into hardwave with heavy bass hits that feed our trap needs. BADVOID and Doctor Werewolf teamed up to bring an absolute drum and bass banger to keep you going. And two more standouts come from the ladies as bass enchantress VEIL brings the speed down a bit with some hypnotizing low-end drum and bass on “Activate,” and VILLA and Ash2Dust team up for “Starlight,” a hardwave track that breathes life straight into your soul.
