Madeon shares an empowering message in “Gonna Be Good” and blends reality with imagination in the accompanying music video.
French producer Madeon is highly revered in the electronic industry and known for his signature sound. His career skyrocketed after his debut album, Adventure, in 2015, and from there, he released “Shelter” with Porter Robinson, played some of the biggest festival stages around the world, and in 2019 welcomed his Good Faith era.
The past few years have seen Madeon embark on multiple tours as he created the Good Faith universe that has captivated long-time fans and new ones alike. In 2022, he delivered another fresh single, “Love You Back,” and now a year later, Madeon has gifted listeners with another single, “Gonna Be Good,” as he begins to bring this chapter to a close.
Madeon began teasing this track as the closing for his Good Faith Forever shows and fans have patiently been waiting for the studio version to see an official release. “Gonna Be Good” features airy synths, pop elements, uplifting melodies, and a breezy drop, making the laid-back song a perfect summer anthem and one that will surely leave you mesmerized.
Paired with the release is the official music video that begins with Madeon blurred standing in front of a back background before it flashes to him standing on his now iconic stained glass visual. In true Madeon fashion, he utilizes elements of nature throughout his music video, pairing it with various well-known visuals from his Good Faith Forever live show. The music video portrays his silhouette on a red background while walking up a mountain, and at the end of the song, the visuals turn blue as he finally makes it to the top signifying a hopeful future.
