Aaron Hibell Returns to the Spotlight with First Single of the Year

After a year of sitting on unreleased music, Aaron Hibell thought it was time to release “ghost,” a project he’s been working on for years.

Aaron Hibell has garnered significant recognition in recent years due to his remarkable remixes, edits, and original tracks, gaining widespread acclaim on popular platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and SoundCloud. Through his skillful production and unique style, he has witnessed a meteoric rise in his career. Examples of his success include his captivating remix of “Your Eyes” by Diplo & RX Y and his awe-inspiring rendition of “Human” by John Summit. Additionally, his Monastery of Sound volumes has further solidified his reputation as a promising artist.

Following the completion of his involvement in the Apple+ movie Tetris creating the track “Benevolence,” Aaron Hibell dedicated his time to finalizing a project that had been in development for several years, “ghost.” With the utmost respect for the original concept, initially conceived by Avicii and HUMAN, the producer sought and obtained approval from HUMAN to bring the track to life.

I first discovered Daniel’s vocal in 2020 from a clip of him and Avicii starting ghost in the studio. At a time where I was divinely uninspired, I was hooked by the power of his vocals. I sent my version to Daniel and his team and we’ve been planning the release ever since. As a lifelong Avicii fan, I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to reimagine such a special record.
I feel ghost has the potential to resonate with so many people, and for that reason it’s one of my favourites I’ve ever made. The combination of the production, lyrics, and Daniel’s vocal capture grief in a way that people won’t only be able to understand, but feel.
