Four Tet, Fred again.., and Skrillex closed out Coachella’s second weekend with an iconic performance, and you can stream the full set now.
The past few editions of Coachella have been a roller coaster ride for attendees who have flocked to the desert, and this year was no different. Sunday night’s headliner, Frank Ocean, was set to perform after years of anticipation, yet after he took the stage during the first weekend, it was clear something was awry. Days later, he pulled out from the second weekend, leaving many to wonder who would replace him. Blink-182, one of the surprise bands from weekend one, stepped up to the plate as the new headliner for Sunday, along with an OMG TBA closing set that would inevitably be revealed as Four Tet, Fred again.., and Skrillex.
The buzz surrounding the OMG TBA set was at an all-time high, especially after the run of shows that Four Tet, Fred again.., and Skrillex went on earlier this year in New York City, which included a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. These performances set the tone for what would be in store for Coachella attendees when they flocked to Coachella’s main stage that Sunday, and it was an incredible experience.
Instead of simply jumping on the decks on the main stage itself, Four Tet, Fred again.., and Skrillex looked to the unused area in the middle of the crowd that was originally meant to be an ice skating rink for Frank Ocean’s performance. There, they would play arguably the largest 360 boiler room setup show in history as they closed the festival down with thousands of attendees surrounding them. The trio ran through a number of hit tracks like “Rumble,” “Baby Again..,” and “Danielle (Smile On My Face),” but the most talked about were the pop inclusions from Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Ariana Grande, along with HOL!‘s “Country Riddim.”
This iconic set was streamed live for the world to see, but you can now if you couldn’t tune into the action before. Coachella has officially released the full performance from Four Tet, Fred again.., and Skrillex on YouTube, so check it out and share your favorite moment from this set with us on Twitter!
