Experimental bass artist CHOMPPA brings his skills to the forefront with his latest EP, The System, out now on Street Ritual.
CHOMPPA developed a love for music at a young age that has only grown with time. Drawing from a wide range of influences to craft his signature style, his distinctive sound has come to take shape. With the discovery of his passion for the underground and the origin of dubstep, his growing fanbase and tastemakers alike have continued to take note of his minimalistic production approach.
CHOMPPA truly began immersing himself in the bass scene when his debut EP, Flabbergast, was released on the Deadbeats in 2020. Accelerating his career, he’s had several releases since, including the single “DRUGS!: with TVBOO and his second EP, Alien Tongues, which he self-released just last year. Since the music industry bounced back post-pandemic, CHOMPPA’s hit major festivals, including Forbidden Kingdom, Summer Camp Music Festival, and Lollapalooza.
Now, CHOMPPA has set his sights on the underground bass label Street Ritual for the release of his third EP, The System. Kicking off this trip into the bass realm is the EP’s title track, an experimental track of epic proportions that will leave listeners guessing the entire way through. The second track, “Dat Boi,” features a plethora of twists and turns for a bass-heavy ride you’ll want to take at least twice. Last but certainly not least, “Synchronicity” closes the EP with a totally different appeal, giving true definition of synchronized sounds as the final seconds of the release tick away.
All-in-all, The System EP shows the depth of sound CHOMPPA can master and is a perfect exemplification of the skills he can bring to the table. Listen to this fresh EP on Spotify or your preferred platform, and let us know which track is your favorite on Twitter!
