Daft Punk to Release 10th Anniversary Edition of ‘Random Access Memories’

Daft Punk is celebrating a decade of Random Access Memories with an anniversary edition featuring new music and more.

Daft Punk shocked the music world in 2021 when the duo announced that they would be splitting up after nearly three decades of churning out hits and shaking up the scene. Artists and fans alike shared their sadness in the wake of the news as they shared memories and spoke of the impact that the duo’s music and performances had on them. But that didn’t mean that Daft Punk was truly done; they still had some milestones to celebrate, including last year’s re-release of Homework for its 25th anniversary.

Today, Daft Punk returned once again with another celebratory release to announce – the 10th anniversary of their GRAMMY Award-winning album, Random Access Memories. This beloved body of work is seen by many as the duo’s magnum opus as they layered in their deep-rooted influences from disco and paid homage to artists who helped pave the way for electronic music as we know it today. From lead single “Get Lucky” with Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers and “Instant Crush” with Julian Casablancas to the storytelling nature of “Giorgio by Moroder” and the final ride into the night, “Contact,” the album captivated millions.

On May 12, Daft Punk will officially release Random Access Memories (10th Anniversary Edition). Breathing life back into the album’s original tracks is just the start of this special album, as the second disc will bring forth 35 minutes of unreleased music. This includes “Horizon” which was only released in Japan on CD, studio outtakes on “GLBTM,” an unfinished track from 2012 called “Prime,” “The Writing Of Fragments Of Time,” and the 2021 Epilogue of “Touch.”

Random Access Memories (10th Anniversary Edition) will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer, but collectors will surely gravitate toward the physical offerings. A double CD version is available that arrives with a 20-page booklet, while the triple vinyl copy offers a special “Lose Yourself To Dance” poster and a 16-page booklet.

Pre-save Random Access Memories (10th Anniversary Edition) on your preferred streaming service, or pre-order a CD or Vinyl for your collection. Head over to Daft Punk’s website for more information.
