Thomas Newson gears up for the release of his Dysnomia EP on Protocol Recordings with its lead single with Flachbau, “Home.”
Dutch DJ and producer Thomas Newson took his first steps in the scene a decade ago and ever since then, he’s been on quite the ride as he’s climbed through its ranks. Over the years his releases have graced labels ranging from Revealed Recordings and Musical Freedom to Armada Music and Spinnin’ Records, while he’s also taken the stage at some of the biggest festivals on the planet like Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and more.
Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings has also been a home for Thomas Newson during this time with singles like “Blizzard” with Magnificence, “Black” with MAKJ, and “Ocean Deep” with Tim van Werd – and now he’s returned to the label to continue his sonic exploration. The latest project to come from this Dutch artist’s mind is Dysnomia, a three-track EP that’s due out later this month on the imprint that sees him take a trip into the realm of deeper, progressive house soundscapes.
While fans will have to wait just a bit longer for the release of Dysnomia, Thomas Newson gave everyone a taste by revealing its lead single, “Home.” This emotive tune is mellow at its core but features just the right amount of groovy elements that will have you bouncing right along with the beat. Looking to take “Home” to the next level, Thomas Newson enlisted the talents of singer-songwriter Flachbau, who provides breathy vocals that add an extra layer of ambiance to the soundscape that will leave you craving more.
