Cristoph Announces New Project to Showcase His Influences, FaCet

in New Releases

British DJ and producer Cristoph is embarking on a new mission in 2023 with the launch of his latest project, FaCet.

If you’re someone who has fallen deeply in love with the sound of progressive house over the years there’s no doubt that Cristoph is an artist on your radar. Not only has this British DJ and producer shaken up the scene with impressive releases that have landed on labels ranging from Anjunadeep and Pryda Presents to Truesoul and Last Night On Earth, but he’s also set for stun with captivating performances along the way. Last year, Cristoph added another chapter to his growing legacy with the launch of his imprint, Consequence Of Society, and now in early 2023, he’s adding another branch with FaCet.

Cristoph created this new project to satiate his desire to showcase his musical influences that span different genres and styles, and is aptly titled as the world itself means “one side of something many-sided.” While FaCet will fully bloom in March, a first taste of this sonic exploration has surfaced in the form of FaCet Vol. 1.1, a two-track release that features “Tha Music” and “You.” Both tracks are centered on dancefloor-driven beats, with “Tha Music” offering a hypnotic vocal and a heavy dose of euphoric elements while “You” kicks the energy into a different gear with its punchy kicks and hi-hats.

Each release of FaCet is part of a journey, in the same way my sets bring people on a journey when I DJ. Producing music in different genres allows me to open up as an artist and FaCet is an example of this. It gives me the opportunity to grow and evolve as an artist, while at the same time, it challenges me to advance my production techniques.

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment.
