Five Reasons Why You Should Attend Beyond Existence

Take a glimpse at a few of the many reasons why Beyond Existence should be on your can’t-miss events for 2023.

Beyond Existence is a place full of opportunities for core memories to be made. To make this place meet the vision, you need a one-of-a-kind location, and Carson Creek Ranch is exactly that. It may be in the heart of Austin, but the scenery makes it feel like you are on a secluded island away from civilization. Flat land surrounded by trees as the Colorado River flowed gently in the background made this location feel like something out of a dream.

On top of all of the natural scenery, there was also a slew of upcoming artists as well as some well-known names that fit the narrative like a glove including Ternion Sound, Parkbreezy, and Floret Loret. Now that there has been time to absorb all the beautiful memories that came from Beyond Existence this year, it’s apparent that the event wouldn’t have been all it was without the moments shared between all the souls present.

I went for the first time this year, and my experience was inspiring, to say the least, especially seeing the amount of love this scene has to offer. Beyond Existence leaves you with an overall feeling that is hard to explain because it’s so unique, but let’s give it a shot. Hopefully, my words can portray the magic that is Beyond Existence so you can decide to experience it yourself.

The beautiful location with nature to ground you at every turn

What could be better than breathtaking sunsets, flowing water, and lush trees to accompany underground bass? Nature was one thing Beyond Existence was never lacking. With a location on a ranch with no civilization as far as the eye can see, you couldn’t help but feel secluded from the city even though we were in the heart of Austin. With no light from the city around to dull the sky, our starlit evenings near the Colorado River always left you feeling overflowing gratitude. Dancing until sunrise with nature and your friends is the perfect combination for some memorable nights.

The genuine loving humans that gravitate to the Beyond grounds

I can’t tell you the last time I went to a festival and didn’t run into at least one rude person, but Beyond Existence was different in the best way possible. There were only smiles, bear hugs, big laughs, and adoring eyes from every human interaction witnessed. It was as if there was a synchronizing energy floating around our small bubble of existence away from the rest of the world. Everyone who walked onto the grounds as a stranger left as family.

The creative and uniquely styled stages set the perfect vibe for the weekend

The River stage was my favorite spot to be during the day. Soaking in the sun next to the rushing water as you feel the bass pulsing through the ground was a top-tier feeling. Although it’s hard to beat the energy felt from the mainstage, the late-night Field stage was an equally dope setup with its groovy bus lit up with impressive color mapping that could mesmerize you for hours on end. Both stages brought elements to the event that created a uniquely special escape for everyone no matter how many festivals you might have attended before.

Up-and-coming artists that deserve to be heard are put to the forefront

Of course, people love to attend festivals for the headliners, but it’s also amazing to stumble upon a new favorite too. This festival knew just who to pick to fill the lineup with raw talent. The sets all meshed so well together, and the curation of this festival deserves a gold star on its own. Names like Sol Good, Backleft, Wav-e, and Subliminull are a few of the artists that left an impression, and who should definitely be on your radar.

The hardworking teams behind the scenes made magic happen.

Music, art, and location make a big difference in the festival experience, but the people busting their butts off in the background are the true glue to an event’s overall success. From the Green Dragon crew supplying sound, Subciety keeping everything flowing even when the weather was at play, the Beyond Existence founders putting endless energy and thought into the nitty-gritty details! The passion and hard work were noticed and appreciated not only by me, but all those in attendance. Having genuine people at the core of events that bring the community together is exactly what this scene needs more of.
