Canadian DJ and producer Beatmool heads back to Suspended Sounds with his sophomore offering on the imprint – the two-track Ripples EP.
The sound of drum and bass continues to gain more ground with each passing week, and the newly minted label Suspended Sounds is coming in hot with some of the freshest releases in the scene. The label has already delivered some impressive releases in their growing catalog from Anwius, but the other artist who has already left listeners in a state of DnB bliss is Beatmool. Now, the Vancouver-based artist returns to the imprint with his latest offering, the two-track Ripples EP.
Ripples arrives as a proper follow-up to Beatmool’s debut outing on the imprint, Sonder, and although it only brings two tracks to the table, it’s sure to delight anyone who loves smooth rolling drum and bass tunes. The title track kicks everything off with its atmospheric intro that leads into some beautiful guitar riffs that only further enhance this ride into the realm of liquid drum and bass. “Ripples” is dancey yet also feels as if the track is giving you a nice warm hug throughout its runtime, making this a tune perfect for the chilly months ahead.
The second track, “All To Dust,” begins with soft piano keys being played before the breakbeat enters the fray and takes center stage. The moment Beatmool’s signature guitar enters is when this track truly begins to shine as the Korean-Canadian artist takes it to the next level by serenading every sense of your being. It’s an easy listening experience but one that you’ll keep coming back to again and again.
