San Diego-based techno artist ElezD is gearing up for a massive fall and winter by dropping three fresh tunes for the masses to consume.
Southern California has continued to be a hotbed for talented artists in the realms of house and techno, and it’s clear that isn’t going to let up with each passing year. One artist who has continued to draw attention to himself with captivating tunes and impressive mixes is ElezD. Since first breaking onto the scene, he’s continued to grow his imprint, F/4 Records, and his impressive techno heaters have seen support from the likes of Layton Giordani, Wehbba, and ANNA along the way.
This year has seen ElezD continue to thrive in the subterranean space, with tracks like “Headless Horseman” and “Ones Who Wail” arriving in the spring. Now, he’s looking to further his grip on the techno scene with the release of his latest EP, Sound Like This, which features three tunes that are dripping with unadulterated, underground bliss.
The title track guides the way with its minimal intro that puts ElezD’s deep techno style on display. The pounding drums give way to the vocal sample layered in for added effect while the second vocal echoes in and out of the track to hypnotize the mind. The stripped-back vibes continue on “We Gon’ Fly,” with ElezD putting a focus on the hi-hats and kicks to set the tone while once again bringing some of his own vocals into the mix and some eerie synths will leave you stunned. Then, the collection comes to a close with “Flowers,” a tantalizing tune that will immediately take you straight to a warehouse at peak hour where you can lose yourself on the dancefloor.
