Sully Wants to ‘Hardwire’ Your Brain with His New EP on WAKAAN

WAKAAN mainstay Sully returns to the imprint with the release of his latest bass-fueled EP, Hardwire.

The past few years have seen Sully ascend through the bass scene ranks while winning over the hearts of fans along the way. During this time, he’s made a home on WAKAAN, releasing EPs like Break The Floor in 2019 and Brainstorm in 2020 that have captivated bass lovers and kept them craving more of his dynamic sound. Sully has only continued to grow in 2022 as he unleashed the Encrypted EP earlier this summer and took the stage at festivals like Electric Zoo, WAKAAN Music Festival, and Imagine to close out the summer months.

Now, Sully has returned to WAKAAN with another unique release that will put listeners under his spell throughout spooky season and beyond, Hardwire. This five-track EP offers a plethora of heavy moments on the title track with its heavy drops and distorted bass while also delivering a dose of energy on tracks like “Front 2 Back,” which layers in his house influences for a dancefloor-ready vibe.

Continuing with the trend of dynamic soundscapes, Sully showcases his melodic side by creating a memorable, atmospheric ride on “Anymore.” The final two tracks, “Far Away From Here” and “Let’s Dream,” also stand tall. The former sees Sully team up with The Arcturians for a smooth, chilled-out ride that leads into a heavy drop designed to take your breath away, while the latter brings Taylr Renee into the mix for an uplifting experience as the EP comes to a close.

‘Hardwire’ is a statement for what I’ve set out to accomplish as a producer. I’ve always tried to pull influence from different styles and genres to weave together a well-rounded body of work. This EP checks multiple boxes for me as a producer and I look forward to continuing to build multi-genre experiences for listeners.”
