EMBRZ Emboldens His Glow on ‘Back Where We Belong’

EMBRZ delivers four new tracks on Back Where We Belong and solidifies his place as one of the brightest rising stars in the scene.

It’s not often that we see emerging producers grow at the rate that EMBRZ has. After dominating the airwaves on Sirius XM’s Chill last year with his break-out hit, “Where You Are,” and his wildly successful debut album, Moments, he returns with a healthy dose of passionate good vibes and groovy dance-centric tracks on his latest EP, Back Where We Belong, out now on This Never Happened.

EMBRZ has once again delivered a unique and instantly recognizable sound on his latest body of work and steals back the spotlight as he refuses to fade into the monotony of modern dance music trends. This time around, he delivers four new tracks that immediately place his sonic grip on our heartstrings and refuses to let go throughout the runtime of the EP.

Back Where We Belong opens with “Let Me In,” a passionate, electronic ballad that strives to break through to a seemingly distant lover. EMBRZ allows his vocals to carry the track while well-polished kicks, refined keys, and just the right amount of percussion keep the energy from sinking too low throughout the track. The second track, “All The Lights,” keeps the vibes close to the heart as he taps emerging vocalist bailey for silky smooth lyrics that perfectly balance the evocative two-step grooves summoned throughout the track.

Digging deeper into this powerful EP, “Warm Hug Waves,” delivers a one-two punch of auditory love, and good vibes flow freely from this mood-elevating groove. This track highlights EMBRZ’s mastery of restraint in production that simultaneously taps into the connections with the music we love. Then, the gorgeous EP comes to a close with “Finally We’re Here.” A title which we can only guess is a reference to our collective return to the dance floor, EMBRZ pushes the tempo back up to end the EP on a beautiful and ecstatic high note.

Back Where We Belong was the perfect follow-up to EMBRZ’s debut album Moments. Where his first work was a current snapshot of the tumultuous times we’ve collectively existed in, this EP is the perfect lens into the growth that he’s experienced as an artist. It feels good to say that we are officially back where we belong, and this release from EMBRZ is the perfect soundtrack for our arrival.

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
