Layton Giordani returns to Drumcode with the release of his latest techno-fueled EP that will warp your mind, Digital Age.
New York-based DJ and producer Layton Giordani continues to win over the hearts of techno lovers with each passing year. Since first breaking onto the scene, he’s delivered stunning releases on labels ranging from Relief to Octopus Recordings, but where he’s truly blossomed has been on Drumcode. His recent techno trips on the Adam Beyer-led imprint include his album, New Generation, along with the Hyper World EP and a remix of Sam Paganini’s “Rave” with the label boss himself.
Now, as Layton Giordani furthers his sonic evolution, he looks to Drumcode for the release of his latest EP, Digital Age. He stated that the idea behind the release “was to create an EP focused on the future of where techno can go with our new digital landscapes of sound design,” when listening to its two tracks, you can’t help but see he succeeded in that mission.
Layton Giordani makes it clear that he’s ready for the future from the jump with the thudding beat and laser-focused chords found on the EP’s title track. Close your eyes while listening to this one and get whisked away to a cybernetic realm within moments where you can traverse the inner workings of the AI mastermind that now controls your soul. Then, “UFOs & LFOs” enters the fray with its space-fueled synths and booming bass that will have you wondering if the entire system has melted down or if maybe it’s just your mind that has.
