Kaivon Releases “Hollywood Hills” Off Forthcoming Debut Album

Rising bass star Kaivon is set to release his debut album, Awakening, on August 12 and just dropped his latest single “Hollywood Hills.”

Kaivon has exponentially grown since first breaking onto the scene years ago. During this time, he’s landed releases on labels including Lost In Dreams, Thrive Music, and Deadbeats, while he returned to his home on Subsidia earlier this year with “I’m Different,” which exploded in popularity. Since that release, Kaivon fostered new soundscapes for listeners to explore on Lowly while also recently taking the stage at Audiotistic Bay Area this past weekend.

Earlier this week, Kaivon announced his debut album Awakening is slated for release via Lowly on August 12. Claiming this album came from his “true self,” the titles of each previously released single maintain the theme of “rebirth” and personal growth that Kaivon has become known for. This includes “Lost,” “I Know,” and “Love Is Blind” that were unveiled in May and June, and now he’s delivered the fourth single, “Hollywood Hills.”

The creation of this album came from my own personal struggles with getting sober two years ago. From my journey of becoming sober I learned that you are not your thoughts, you are just an observer of your thoughts.

As the final single off Awakening, “Hollywood Hills” exposes Kaivon’s talents in creating softer, melodic soundscapes for his fans to explore. Known for heavy basslines and experimental synths played in his live sets, this euphoric tune not only adds to his production repertoire, but is reminiscent of the dreamlike paradise of real-life Hollywood Hills. It creates a heavenly aura that is sure to captivate your emotions with its tranquil synths.

Make sure to stream “Hollywood Hills” on your preferred platform and pre-save Awakening prior to its upcoming release on August 12.
