Eli Brown looks to Patrick Topping’s beloved imprint for the release of his latest techno EP filled with retro vibes and plenty of heat, Rudeboi.

UK-based DJ and producer Eli Brown is an artist who continually impresses fans and tastemakers alike with each passing release. Over the years, his infectious, club-ready sound has found its way to labels like Factory 93 Records, Repopulate Mars, We Are The Brave, Purified, and plenty more, while he’s also dropped fantastic collaborations with Love Regenerator and HI-LO as well. Now, Eli Brown continues his trip into the techno realm with the release of his latest EP, Rudeboi.

Out now on Patrick Topping’s imprint Trick, this three-track EP sees Eli Brown flex his abilities in marrying old-school rave elements with modern production techniques to put listeners in a state of sonic bliss. While previous releases from this UK-based artist have also toyed with darker, brooding elements, the Rudeboi EP takes you directly to a warehouse rave to dance and sweat out all your worries and frustrations in life.

The title track leads the charge with its rave stabs and drums that inject energy into the mind, while the classic jungle vocal commands your attention throughout its runtime. Then, “Welcome To My House” arrives front and center with its fast-paced percussion guiding the way deeper into the night. The acid lines and vocals really make this hypnotic track stand out among the three – there’s no doubt your mind will melt when listening to this one. Closing out the Rudeboi EP is “Don’t Think Much,” which offers up its own hypnotic elements as Eli Brown looks to Talk Show to add another fresh dimension to the listening experience with the post-punk group’s monologue layered in for good measure.

Super excited to release my latest EP on Trick, a label that I feel is really pushing things forward sound-wise. This EP tries to showcase my love of all things 90’s, drawing influences from Jungle music, Detroit techno, and the early rave scene. Hope you enjoy.
